Ugly Concrete Surfaces have you down? Aggregate Driveway surface or Stamped Concrete surface have mold and mildew growing on top of it? It can be pretty ugly. And, the moisture can be instrumental in the damage that can be caused to a beautiful surface.
Cracking can happen mostly during the cold months of January and February. Moisture seeps into pores of concrete and freezes. Freezing expands hairline cracks and that is where the damage begins. Once cracks widen, water seeps deeper into concrete surface, eventually finding its way beneath. The dirt becomes mud and unstable and over time crumbles.
To keep moisture from penetrating into the concrete, it is advised to keep a sealant on your front driveway, walkways and areas around your pools and patios. The appearance is beautiful and the drive shimmers and glistens and glows.
